Meet the team

Dr. Divya Atkins

Managing Director

Divya has a strong research background, and exposure to a variety of industrial methods, standards, techniques, and tools for software and systems engineering. Her experience is predominantly in high-integrity safety-critical, embedded real-time systems, but she is also very interested in computer and network security.

Divya has two undergraduate degrees - a BSc. (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) at Bangalore University (from Mount Carmel College), and a B.E. (Computer Science), at the Indian Institute of Science. She then moved to the UK to study for an MSc. in Computing, at the University of Oxford (Balliol College). After another stint in India, she then went on to do her DPhil in Computer Science at the University of York.

In her spare time, Divya likes to spend time with family and friends. You can also find her in the garden, or the kitchen, where she loves making fresh healthy food using produce from the garden.

Dr. Martin Atkins

Technical Director

Martin completed his B.A in Maths at the University of York, and then moved to Computer Science to do his D.Phil in Object-Oriented languages.

He also did some post-doc work on the Ten15 and Perq Flex capability systems from RSRE.

Martin has been a software consultant working in both research, and commercial development projects. He has spent the last decade developing safety-critical systems, and has also designed and developed test infrastructure for the formal verification of several high-integrity projects.

He specialises in rapid prototyping, test harnesses, safety-critical development, and OpenSource, and also has experience of team leading, technical writing, network management, and teaching.

When not working, Martin likes to spend time reading, listening to music and programming. He is also good at DIY, so is always happy to fix any electricals, furniture and computers!
